FNB Fox Valley / Nicolet Bank Merger: Frequently Asked Questions

Below, we've answered common questions surrounding FNB Fox Valley's pending transition to Nicolet National Bank.  Please contact us if you have a question that hasn't been addressed here.


General Questions

Question: When will FNB Fox Valley become Nicolet National Bank?

Answer: The merger will occur over the weekend of April 28.  All FNB Fox Valley branches will close after normal business hours on that Friday and re-open on Monday, May 1 as Nicolet National Bank. FNB Fox Valley will not be open on Saturday, April 29. FNB Fox Valley customers can begin using any of the Nicolet National Bank locations as of May 1, 2017. Nicolet Bank branches that are normally open on Saturday will remain open with the exception of the Appleton branch on Kensington Drive.

 

Question: Will there be changes to my deposit account?

Answer: FNB Fox Valley accounts will become similar account types when they are converted to Nicolet National Bank accounts. Rates and terms on CDS will remain the same until maturity.  We encourage you to stop at your local branch to review your new products and learn about all of the available options Nicolet National Bank has to offer. 

 

Question: Will there be changes to my loan?

Answer: No, all terms related to your loan will remain the same until maturity.

 

Question: Will my account numbers change?

Answer: In almost all cases, account numbers will remain the same.  There are a small number of duplicate account numbers between the two banks.  We will work with these customers prior to the merger to get those account numbers changed.

 

Question: Can I use my FNB Fox Valley checks after the merger?

Answer: Yes, you can continue to use your FNB Fox Valley checks after the merger.  When you need to re-order checks, they will automatically be updated with Nicolet National Bank’s information.

 

Question: Will automatic transfers, automatic loan payments, and direct deposits continue to work?

Answer: Direct deposits will continue to be deposited directly into customers’ accounts. Automatic payments that are set up using a routing number and checking or savings account number (ACH) will continue to work.  If payments were set up via your check (debit) card, those will need to be updated with the new check card information prior to June 21.

 

Question: Will phone numbers, including the main 1-800 number for each bank, change?

Answer: No, at the time of the merger, all phone numbers will remain unchanged.

 

Question: Will any branch hours change?

Answer:  Yes, at the time of the merger branch hours will change.  All locations will be open Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-5:00 pm with the drive-up open from 8:00 am– 5:30 pm.  On Saturdays, all drive-ups will be open from 8:30 am – 12:00 noon. On Saturdays the lobbies of all offices can be opened by appointment if necessary, including the Neenah lobby which has lobby hours of 9:00 – 12:00 through April 22, 2017.

 

Question: How will account statements be handled with the merger?

Answer: All checking and savings accounts will receive a final statement from FNB Fox Valley as of April 28.  In most cases, statement cycles will not change for FNB Fox Valley customers.

 

Question: What is the routing number for Nicolet National Bank?

Answer:  Nicolet National Bank’s routing number is 075917937.


Debit/Credit/ATM Card Questions

Question: Will I receive new Nicolet National Bank debit cards?

Answer: Yes, all FNB Fox Valley customers, who currently have active debit cards (activity in the prior 12 months), will receive a new Nicolet National Bank Mastercard® debit card.

 

Question: Will FNB Fox Valley debit cards and/or PIN numbers change?

Answer: Card numbers will change.  You may establish the same PIN number you have today when you call to activate your card at 1-800-992-3808.

 

Question: When will customers be receiving new Nicolet National Bank debit cards?

Answer: Customers will receive their new Nicolet National Bank debit cards starting the week of April 24.  All customers should have their card prior to May 1. The new debit card will be changed from Visa to Mastercard.

 

Question: When will FNB Fox Valley debit cards stop working?

Answer: To help minimize customer impact, FNB Fox Valley debit cards will stay open until June 21, so you should not be without an active card for any period of time. 

 

Question: When will the new Nicolet National Bank debit cards start working?

Answer: The new Nicolet National Bank debit cards will start working at 9:00 AM on May 1.  FNB Fox Valley debit cards will continue to work concurrently with the new Nicolet National Bank debit cards until June 21.

 

Question: Will FNB Fox Valley ATMs be available during conversion weekend April 28?

Answer: Yes, FNB ATMs will be converted during the weeks prior to the acquisition. Each ATM will be interrupted intermittently while the conversion takes place. During the weeks prior to the acquisition, both FNB Fox Valley and Nicolet National Bank debit cards will be set up to have surcharge fees waived at former FNB Fox Valley ATMs.

 

Question: Will ATM deposits be allowed after the acquisition?

Answer: No, FNB Fox Valley is in the process of disabling ATM deposits as the number of ATM deposits has been very low.

 

Question: Will customers be receiving new Nicolet National Bank credit cards by May 1?

Answer: No, FNB Fox Valley customers will not receive new credit cards immediately.  We expect new Nicolet National Bank branded credit cards to arrive in late May, or early June.  Your FNB Fox Valley credit cards will continue to work as they do today until that time.

 

Digital Banking

Question: What will happen with online banking?

Answer: FNB Fox Valley’s online banking will remain active until its normal cutoff time at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 28.  At that time, FNB Fox Valley’s online banking will go into inquiry only mode until Nicolet’s online banking becomes available Sunday morning.  The FNB website will be re-routed to www.nicoletbank.com on Sunday when online banking becomes available.  This is expected to occur between 5:00 – 8:00 AM Sunday.  Customers do not need to re-enroll in online banking as their user ID and password will be converted.

 

Question: What will happen with mobile banking?

Answer: FNB Fox Valley’s mobile banking will remain active until its normal cutoff time at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 28.  At that time, FNB Fox Valley’s mobile banking will go into an inquiry mode until the app is deleted on Monday, May 1.  Nicolet National Bank’s mobile banking will become available when online banking becomes available Sunday morning.  Customers will need to download the Nicolet National Bank mobile banking app.  Customers do not need to re-enroll in mobile banking as their user ID and password will be converted.

 

Question: What will happen with telephone banking?

Answer: FNB Fox Valley’s telephone banking will remain active until its normal cutoff time at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 28.  Telephone banking will become available again after Sunday morning between 5:00 – 8:00 AM.  The current FNB telephone number for telephone banking will be forwarded to Nicolet’s telephone banking sometime Monday.  Customers do not need to re-enroll in telephone banking.

 

Question: What will happen with Bill Pay?

Answer: FNB Fox Valley’s Bill Pay will be shut down on Friday, April 28 at 4:00 PM.  Customers will be able to start using Nicolet National Bank’s Bill Pay when online banking becomes available on Sunday, April 30.  All bill payments will transfer to Nicolet National Bank’s bill payment system.  There should be no interruption in previously scheduled bill payments.

 

Question: What will happen to FNB Fox Valley’s mobile deposit product?

Answer: FNB Fox Valley’s customers will be able to make deposits through mobile banking as they do today when mobile banking becomes available on Sunday morning.  They will not need to use a separate app like Nicolet customers do today.

 

Question: Will current recurring/automatic transfers set up on FNB Fox Valley’s online banking need to be reset on Nicolet National Bank’s online banking?

Answer: No. All recurring/automatic transfers will be converted to Nicolet National Bank’s online banking.

 

Question: If customers have accounts at both banks, will they see all of them when logging into online banking?

Answer: We will be merging online banking profiles on Sunday, April 30 and expect to have them completed that day.  At that time, they will be able to see all their accounts in online banking.  Their Nicolet user ID and password will be the surviving login information.
